The pawpaw, tasting of a mix of mango, banana and citrus, is North America's largest native fruit. The sweet, unique fruit is medium-large in size with a light, tropical taste. Tree performs well in partial shade and perfers a moist environment. Enjoy golden fall leaf-color in the landscape. Cold-hardy. Ripens in late September. For proper pollination, plant another pawpaw variety nearby.
