Pear Ayers
  • Rootstock: Calleryana Standard
  • Appearance: Medium-sized, roundish with a short neck, yellow with a red blush.
  • Texture & Flavor: Smooth, buttery, melting flesh with a very sweet, nectar-like taste, sometimes with subtle vanilla notes.
  • Ripening: Mid-August to early September; can be picked firm and ripened indoors.

  • Size: Reaches 10-30 feet tall, depending on rootstock.
  • Zones: Hardy in USDA Zones 4-9.
  • Sun/Soil: Full sun, well-drained soil.
  • Pollination: Self-pollinating but produces more with another tree. Pollinators would be, Kieffer, Orient, Hood, Bartlett, or Moonglow pears,
  • Disease Resistance: High resistance to fire blight.
